Screening and Q+A: Laura Parnes, Tour Without End
October 26, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeBuffalo native, Laura Parnes, returns to the city to present a new film, four years in the making. “Tour Without End” is an experimental fiction/documentary hybrid that casts real-life musicians, artists and actors as bands on tour, and expands into a cross-generational, Trump-era commentary on contemporary culture and politics. The UB Arts Collaboratory, the Humanities Institute and the Department of Media Study will present a screening of Laura Parnes’ “Tour Without End,” on Saturday, October 26 at UB Center for the Arts at 5pm. The event starts with a reception catered by Dapper Goose, and the film screening at 6pm. A Q&A with Paige Sarlin, Assistant Professor in UB’s Media Study Department, will take place at 7:30pm. Be sure to view Parnes’ companion installation at Burchfield Penney, which continues through January 5, 2020.
