Micha Cárdenas

PLASMA Performances, Lectures, and Screenings in Media Art, Spring 2016 presents micha cárdenas on March 21, 2016  at 6:30 pm in CFA 112.

Dr. micha cárdenas is an artist/theorist who creates and studies trans of color movement in digital media, where movement includes migration, performance and mobility. She is a member of the artist collective Electronic Disturbance Theater 2.0. Her solo and collaborative artworks have been presented internationally in museums, galleries and biennials and she is co-author of The Transreal: Political Aesthetics of Crossing Realities and Trans Desire / Affective Cyborgs.  http://michacardenas.org/

PLASMA is sponsored by UB’s Media Study Dept. each Spring and co-sponsored by the Dept. of English, the Dept. of Geography, DISC (Committee on Digital Scholarship and Cultures), the Humanities Institute, the UB Technē Institute, and the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.  The series is open to the public, the UB Community and to all who are interested in any of the invited guests.  The public is enthusiastically welcome to come to one or any of the presented events free of charge.
