Location: 329 Hoyt. St
For the first hour of our meeting, Yvette Granata, PhD candidate in Media Study, will present work-in-progress titled “The Sliming of Data-life: On Cyberfeminist Datum as 3D Illiquidity” The project draws upon feminist performance art and explores 3-D scanning of bodies as a form of non-standard capture and as a productive illiquidity. It aims to think towards the making of illiquid social topologies similar to a slime mold’s social intelligence of the space it occupies.
For the second hour we will discuss Jason W. Moore’s writings in preparation for our upcoming symposium MoneyLab 5: MATTER OF CURRENCY on April 27-28. Jason is our keynote speaker on Friday at 5pm at Hallwalls.
