Bookie takes place in the city’s gritty underbelly where gambling and a burlesque club occupy the mind and time of leading character, Cosmo Vittelli. When he finds himself over $20,000 in the hole, Cosmo must navigate the still seedier criminal world while maintaining a chummy disposition as the host of a house of pleasure.
