[Virtual] Scholars@Hallwalls: John Fiege, “Speaking of the Environment: The Ecosphere Podcast”
April 9, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us for a virtual edition of our Faculty Fellows talks! This lecture series brings current UB humanities research out into the community.
John will present his talk live on Zoom with a Q+A session following.
Fiege is developing a podcast, called Ecosphere, that explores key questions at the heart of our ecological predicament: what is our physical and spiritual relationship to the rest of nature, and how can we live with one another in a way that protects the diversity of life on Earth? The podcast features long-form, intimate conversations with environmental thinkers, writers, artists, activists, scientists, and spiritual leaders across the planet. In this talk, Fiege tells the story of how he came to this project as a filmmaker, shares clips from the initial guest interviews, and discusses his vision for the project.
