APPLY NOW FOR THE HI/FASI FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The Humanities Institute provides support for at least two Ph.D. students to attend the Futures of American Studies Institute at Dartmouth College, held annually in June. The 2022 Futures of American Studies Institute will take place Monday, June 2oth to Sunday, June 26th.
The FAS Institute is a week-long workshop led by Donald Pease, a former HI Distinguished-Scholar-in-Residence, and several other leading Americanists (in literature, critical theory, and history). Participating students and faculty present and discuss works in progress.
The fee for participating in the 2022 Institute is $500, which will be paid by the Humanities Institute for the successful applicants.
For more information about the Institute, go to: http://www.dartmouth.edu/~futures
To apply for the Humanities Institute subsidy, submit your materials here by June 5. Successful applicants will be notified by end-of-day June 7, so that they can submit their materials to FASI’s online application portal (separate from the HI online form). The application fee will be covered by the UB Humanities Institute.
The subsidy is available only to Ph.D. students who have completed their oral exams.
Application for the HI subsidy must include:
- one-page, single-spaced description of the dissertation
- two-page cv, including date oral exams completed
- letter of support from dissertation chair (which can be emailed directly to the Humanities Institute at huminst@buffalo.edu)
